Scratch / Marking Protection

Bumping, impacting, gripping, tightening or falling into – no matter how flimsy the impact is, in most cases hard enough to leave dents on sensitive bulky goods or valuable parts. Not talking about sliding or gliding forces typically causing scratches and marks with annoying quality consequences.

Soft, cushioning surface characteristics are synonymous with avoiding such problems. The permanent effect caused by glued-on rubber sheets or plastic covers is limited, mostly due to insufficient adhesion and an inappropriate surface structure. However sprayed on, seamless rubberlike coating properties in combination with an adapted coefficient of friction and the perfect texture can permanently stop these quality problems.

Scratch protection / marking protection - so that new looks new indeed! Objectives Elastic, flexible coatings protect the part against impacts and distribute the external pressure. Punctual stresses are attenuated. Soft and ideally diffusely structured contact areas offer varying points of support for gliding processes so that scratching can take place on an extended surface. Gliding along the same line which otherwise occurs is thus avoided. Technical solutions in detail MetaLine Series 500/700 - MetaLine Series 500/700 coatings can be adapted individually to the type of protection required for the individual part as from a minimum hardness of 60 Shore A. Series 500 additionally offers structured surfaces. For most execution variants pharma- ceutical / food compatibility certificates according to FDA 177.1680 (Title 21) are available.
Elastic, flexible coatings shield the contur when impacted. Local external pressure is distributed to a far bigger surface - punctual stress is attenuated. Soft and ideally diffusely textured contact areas offer varying points of support for gliding processes. Micro scratching can take place on a extended surface, as typical sliding along the same line is avoided. Micro-scratches will NOT collect to a major dent anymore – means they remain simply non-visible. The original MetaLine Series 500 textured coatings have set a new non-scratch standard about a decade ago! MetaLine Series 500 – Coatings being individually adapted to the geometry and surface stiction of the parts to be protected. Variation takes place in hardness, texture, coefficient of friction, thickness, color and conductivity. In most cases our services meet pharmaceutical / food compatibility standards according to FDA 177.1680 (Title 21) and (EU) No. 1935/2004!

Objectives

Elastic, flexible coatings enclose the contur when impacted. Local external pressure is distributed to a far bigger surface - punctual stress is attenuated.

Soft, ideally diffusely structured contact surfaces offer alternating contact points during sliding processes - the typical sliding on a line is avoided. Small invisible micro-scratches, which would otherwise usually bundle into a visible "scratch", are reduced and the scratch potential is distributed over a larger surface. Due to this reduction of the load-bearing area and distribution, even freshly sprayed transparent plastic components can be conveyed scratch-free on MetaLine coatings!
